Heavy service traffic had been a continual problem to the east side of the campus since its development - there was a need to calm traffic and give pedestrians ‘ownership’ of external spaces. This project involved the design and administration of a contract for all new hard and soft landscaping from the Mile End Road to the new Student Village including works to the former canal tow-path.
