Our role was that of lead consultant from feasibility to handover in the complete adaptation, extension and refurbishment of this academic research building. The new facilities provided include Category 2 and 3 laboratories, offices and a conference room. 50% of the building is heavily serviced with finely controllable mechanical ventilation. Data, telecoms and security are linked to a campus network via fibre optic cables. The top two floors are entirely new; the upper one being a modular plant room which was craned into position in two sections.
